Has anyone rounded the Horn in last 48 hours in better position than 427?

I'm not sailing full pack, crossed equator in 3,800-ish position, didn't think I had an especially good run to the Horn so was surprised to round as high as p.427.
Even more surprised that no-one after me has done it quicker.

Just wondering if VR's gate timings are accurately updated.
I note the last big dot on my VR track is pre-Horn day 14, E of Falklands.

As far as I can tell, the rankings at the Horn are accurate. What's not accurate are the rankings to the equator. Every year there are a bunch of people who race to the equator, then spend 3 days tacking along the South American coast to Pt Pedras. They have good equator times, but they are never really in it.

I was 3,500th at the equator and 13th at the Horn. It's the same every year. You really don't know where you stand until the Horn.

When does this event close? I think it originally said Sept 1, and then maybe for a while, it said Sept 14... But now it says Sept 1 again... Toxxct's polars still say Sept 14.

Grrr, they reverted back to Sept 1st again ?!

I'll fix that tomorrow.

A few days ago, it was announced that the close date would be Sept 14 but it was a mistake. VR corrected it and it is back to Sept 1.

it was announced sept. 1st when VR opened the race, then they moved to 15th, and now back to 1st.

VR in its usual consistency -_-
