This might seem like a dumb question, but I am hoping to get some clarification on exactly what the different colors of the tracks mean. If I understand correctly red is the heading. Green is the true wind angle you have if you take the heading shown in red. I have no idea what the blue line indicates. Also what is the significance of the dots vs the squares. (Some squares are solid, and some are outlined.)

Any help would be appreciated.

Blue is the straight (great circle) line. It becomes quite different than the red one at high latitudes like now in the VOR. You can get that on in the game by placing a waypoint - heading will vary over time.

The squares are supposed sail changes. They may not be exact, but are there to remind you to check for tricky points in the polars.

Thanks for the explanation. I have been using auto sails in the game and really havent paid to much attention to sail choice. I might start taking a look at that more often.

Something very strange is happening with the CC and TWA course indicators (blue & red lines). They seem correct up to a TWA of 109, but after that the boat speed (=distance traveled in a given time) goes down very steeply as if the polar was somehow corrupted.

Thanks. There was a leftover code from one of the round the world races which had speed penalty below 60S. Reloading now should fix it.
