recalculation or stay with original cals?

Just curious - the calculated route looks like one heading for few hours, great.
But in case you do recalc after few cycles - the route is different (and today morning the changes were huge) I can understand +/- 3 degrees but complete different route...
the firts one was in fact middle channel, the other to the east coast and near the coast up...

There is forecast update at 7,13,19 and 21, and the route changes to some extent at those times.

Sometimes two very different paths may have nearly the same cost - like now when deciding to go E or W of that weather system, so very little position difference may lead to different choice. And the optimizer is stupid and has no memory so just picks at random.

I usually follow fixed directions for a hour or two and then check again.

I had the same question as Mpako. I noticed changes within 10-minute VORG interludes. Your answer, answers my question. I had been thinking it had to do with perpetually evolving V.M.C.'s....
