Hi, the route calculation is restricted south of 35S in the area west of New Zealand. Could this restriction be a little bit south (eg. 40S) as we are approaching NZ? There is a big difference in 8d and 16d routes now, but I don't know if it is worth going south between Australia and tip of northern NZ.

Yep, this is kind of gate to prevent you approaching Auckland from the wrong side. The west coast is almost within the finish circle.
