What does these three shortcuts mean in VR Dashboard:
vT?
DTL?
and in PACK box: Solo: PR:41m43s?

vT is theoretical speed, calculated from the known polars, wind speed and andgle.

So far it looks like VR got that part of the game right.

DTL is Distance To Leader

All column headers have mouse hover hints, btw.

The Solo Card is is the semi-choice pack of cards in the lower-left which changes one hour after you click it. Time until next possible change and the current open card.

So go for the PRogrammer while the sale lasts ;-)

Just posted the announcement about the new version.

It indicates small difference (less than 1%) between vT and vC
Red with big difference (like penalty in one cycle which may go unnoticed otherwise)

Intention is to indicate sub-optimal sail, may need some more work for course changes where the differece is actually expected.

Oops, yellow currently doesn't indicate suboptimal sail. More work is required indeed. Also see my comment in http://zezo.org/forum.pl?tid=6281

I've noticed that the numbers always match when not maneuvering, including the second decimal digit, so it should be possible to compare down to 0.01% or so. We just have to check for changes in the cycle and not raise false alarms.

CVetan, about those yellow cells. I have a question, please.

You mentioned it means a sub-optimal sailing.

I have been noticing that most of the times they show up are:

- When there is a long update of the dashboard (eg you had the pc in standby) or a short one (some hick ups)..that i understand

- After a change of heading no matter if the speed increases or decreases in that cell in relation to the pattern. Simetime it doesn't show yello cell on heading changing. Here I don't understand. Is the simulator so realistic and sensitive that "feels a touch on the helm as a disturbance of the sailing"? I ask this because I also noticed a yellow cell changing heading to the best BS heading. Of course it's not the best VMG, still...

- And I presume as you said it shows also after a sail change a tack or a gybe.
