Hi Cvetan,

I see that you do implement the multiple timeshift table only in “record races” like JVT.

It would be really helpful to implement this option for all races. Actually, with that option, it becomes possible to test some routes by using the router from “present position / now” to a chosen intermediate point, and then from this point with the right timeshift to another point.
So you can test a lot of exotic routes, that cannot always be proposed by the router due to its limitations.

A good example is the calculation of the arrival of the JVT where the router doesn’t give you the right route without tuning it a little bit.
Sailing through islands could be another use, as it seems that the router struggles to go through them with the right calculation.

Cheers

That's what I sometimes refer to as waypoints for routing.
Question: why configure a timeshift per waypoint if the router already knows the timeshift for each waypoint.

Maybe waypoints can also be of assistance to get the router to through straits and the like?

Yes exactly, just for some strange behaviors that happen sometimes... ;-)

I have a feeling that implementing waypoints would make the game more interesting because people will try different routes, hoping that their route will benefit from changes in the weather forecast. As it is now, few people dare to leave the "safe zezo route"...
