In the Pacific Record I noticed since yesterday that my course is changed after I log out. For instance I set course for 129, log out and then when I log in again the course is 126.

In fact, just a minute ago I saw my course being changed from 128 to 132, WITH ME DOING NOTHING!

Anyone has the same problem?

PS I notified Jessica

Assume you mean when locking TWA. I've also noticed a degree or two off from my previously set course when logging back on. Telling myself it is just the same lag issue between server and client that makes it tricky to sail near land. Dashboard this morning shows my course being as previously set.

Yeah with locked TWA, sometimes the difference was as much as 5/6 degrees. I thought it was me until I saw the course change happened in front of me own eyes...

It cannot be a server/client issue I think as it happens also when I did not change course when logging out.

Unfortunately I cannot check it with the dashboard as I play exclusively on my iPad.

Not sure how that double post happened my bad.

Just happened to me, out to home and back in again to force a redraw and went from 52 to 37 degrees TWA. Seen similar things recently, I would hope it is a client bug and leaving it would correct itself but I'm not game to try it!!!

Looks like the client sees wrong wind, then issues a TWA command combining your intended heading and the wrong wind direction.

Seeing it more severe recently. Only 2-3 degrees but when you're in 30+ knots 152 TWA is .8 knots slower than 150. Dashboard still never shows an anomaly though.

Same problem for me, only yesterday I lost few degrees 3 times in the morning. And since that, i check every hour if my angle is still correct.
Other problem : 2 times last week one of my programmation changed to 0 degrees

Did anybody see incorrect/unexpected TWA or heading values in the dashboard?

I encountered a similar bug several times, but the TWA/heading display in the game UI fixed itself with the first server update (one or two mintues after logging in to the race). The dashboard never showed incorrect values.

Same for me, dashboard was always accurate.

Checked now with dashboard, seems that course changes is not shown in the dashboard. Yesterday again course changed from 129 to 119 after log out. Dashboard showed still 129. When I re-adjusted back to 129, the dashboard showed change from 129 to 129. Beats me...

Strange thing is that it is not happening all the time and does not occur in Figaro...

PS crickets from Jessica...

Well, in FÍGARO race, when I log in with my phone, I set the coordinates and it only takes a few seconds to the boat turns around without me doing any action...

It's worse than ever at the start of the figaro 4 : i put an angle of 146, i quit the race and get back : the angle is 149. I tried 3 times in five minutes with the same result...

What does the dashboard indicate about the changes?

No command is issued, regardless of TWA lock state. A game reload (like F5) fixes it for me, but it's pain in the ass.

I didn't take a look... next time i'll do it

A lot of bugs in MACIF now. Autosail come an go on and off causing sail penalty. Heading changes all the time...

Ah ah, glad I'm out of these races now :)

Glad I did not pay the fee for that one ;-)

Glad I do not give a penny to those guys since 2017 :-)
Post by iconPost by Ormetkruper | 2018-09-25 | 14:54:40
Well I did pay for this one... Have not payed for a race since last VOR. So no more money to VR any more, since I am not good enough to win any races.

Autosail went off after only 4 hours and left me with wrong sail for 2 hours until I woke up and saw it. When I reactivate autosail I had 14 hours left instead of 12.

It´s a fun game but it is too buggy to pay for now. So until next VOR I sail nomoney and train/learn better tactics and maybe to run without zezo :-)

Question to all affected with "unwanted change of course".

When you seting a new course, do you wait for confirmation from the serwer that your course has been validated?

It is also applicable to manual sails change.

Post by iconPost by zezo | 2018-10-06 | 16:47:40
Yes, in general. When the game is stuck with wrong wind data and does not display proper TWA it does not issue the confirmation either.

I also have the same problem but not always. Many times though, I 've seen my course changing a few degrees -as you said- in front of my eyes, without me touching anything the last 30 mins!!!
There are so many bugs, how to remember it all?
I must say here something that I find so stupid and proves that the VR must have nobody to play the game for them!!!
I wonder for so long, Who is the ...Einstein in the management or developers teem who decided to hide the navigation tools behind the ..expert button, while the absolutely useless Help button remains one touch away on the screen???
If one of them played the game only one day he could obviously realize how dum is to hide the most used button that everybody is klicking on so many time in the game. This way they added just about another 1000 klicks per race, to each one of us while the same time the Help button is one Klik away and ...so few ppl klicks it once or
twice and then never again because the advice is giving is rubbish
