Hi Cvetan 😉,
There is a very big difference between the VR winds and the winds of the router.

=> VR: TWD 345.8 ° / TWS 7.55kt
=> ZEZO: TWD 354 ° / TWS 9.7kt

There are worries about the NOAA today, it seems that VR is still on the file all_2019_06_12_06z.grib

It's a mess. Time to navigate freestyle, I guess. Until it re-syncs and suddenly some people are lucky and the rest are unlucky.

Unfortunately, I think it'll suddenly get fixed in the French morning, while I'm sleeping tonight, while I think I'm currently leading the Magellan leg. C'est la vie.

Oui c'est la vie :) ... but till it get fixed, which winds could be the correct ones, VR or Zezo ? Or at least the most reliable ?

VR client and server at least seem to match (as they should), so VR

NOAA still not working and GeGax is right for the wind in use in VR.

Could it be connected?

Starting from 2019-06-12, NOAA have changed their FTP directory from
https://nomads.ncep.noaa.gov/pub/data/nccf/com/gfs/prod/gfs.YYYYMMDDCC/
to
https://nomads.ncep.noaa.gov/pub/data/nccf/com/gfs/prod/gfs.YYYYMMDD/CC/
where CC is the cycle (00, 06, 12, 18)

Looks like VR missed this change and use the 2019-06-11/18 wind since then. Zezo is on current data.

Hi zezo people;
Change in noaa forcasts directory structure were announced on June the 4th through their user mailing list, check their announcement on our forum over there:
http://www.regattagame.net/rg/rg2.0/zorglub/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=712&p=6821#p6796
Might be that VR it too busy to read this mailing list ? :)
By the way, regattagame.net is based on 2 wind changes a day and rather large wind cells (10, 0.5 or 0.25 degrees) but next Saturday (June the 15th) at 10h00 UTC+2 is starting the Silver Cup on Lac Genova on 0.05 degrees wind cells with wind changes each 3 hours, a premiere on regattagame !
Fair winds to all, wherever you sail

In other words, one forward slash messed up our race!
Post by iconPost by zezo | 2019-06-13 | 09:08:16
Yep. A slash between the date and the hour.

diff:

- printf(...%d%02d%02d%02d/
+ printf(...%d%02d%02d/%02d/

Thanks to mac08 for pointing me to the NOAA mailing list and also to the change itself.

Looks like VR got it too now.
