Probably discussed before but I see it many times that another boat in the exact same conditions has a different speed and always faster or otherwise I wouldn't complain.

I suppose the recorded speed that can be seen by clicking on your opponent is an average to reduce server load, but I don't know for sure.

Happy sailing

How do you determine you have exact same conditions ?
If you look into the game interface only, you may be 0,1 degree off, and then, a slightly difference in speed makes one faster than the other boat.

If you use VR Dashboard, you can see exactly which TWA and which TWS are known on the game server.

Your speed is calculated by the client and opponent speed is reported by the server (which also moves your boat). And client and server don't seem to use exactly the same weather data.

There are a lot of threads about it.

One of these days, we need to divvy up topics and help Cvetan re-write the FAQ page.

Of course, 1/3 of the FAQ would actually have to be about VR itself (like this question), and 1/3 would be about the Dashboard and other add-ons. Only 1/3 of it would actually be about Zezo. FBOW, this has become the place people go when they have questions about of those... because this is the place where people will answer.

Thank you guys, I knew it was discussed before but lack of search function makes it difficult to find, sorry for asking. Great idea @yourmomsa but I think Cvetan has done enough already, but happy to help where needed for sure! Much appreciated and fair winds!
