Hello everyone ,
Strange since last night the dash no longer triggers Zezo !!?
is there a problem?
I update on the Dashboard, but going through the race interface it does not work.
Yet my boat is well recognized !!?

When does not trigger it. There are two use cases:

1) When entering a race, if "Auto router window" is checked
2) When you hit the "Go" button or the steering wheel in the first table column.

It's pretty random!
it came back without my asking for anything !!
but it does not trigger on the VR interface

If the races in the dropdown remain greyed out, either you started Dashboard too late or it missed the inital getboatinfo message that's sent when you click on a race in VR Offshore for some other reason.

Go to the game tab and press F5.

If you see the race list active first and then being greyed out without restarting VRDashboard, please go to Chrome extension management and send the me errors it reports for VRDashboard. This should not happen.

Another thing I noticed, starting another extension that also uses the debugger can disconnect VRDashboard from the debugger. In this case the race list is not greyed out, but VRDashboard no longer receive any boat position or fleet updates.

strange because I am not new to the Dashboard and zezo !! always nothing .
I have to enter my coordinates in manual suddenly
the Dashboard I launch it as soon as VR starts
then by cigant on the "Vend�e Globe" race: nothing is triggered !!

Folks, you don't really need new routing every 5 minutes. Doing is is counter-productive both for your boat and my servers (and everyone else). Don't get obsessed by it. Once in few hours is enough, and the entering the numbers if really needed is not that hard.

I've actually never used the dashboard link. No particular reason. I guess I got in the habit pre-dashboard of keying the coordinates in, and never changed habits.

And yeah... You really need to pick a strategy and stay with it for at least a few hours at a time.

Obviously. I don't use it every 5 minutes. But I confirm that many boats in my Team have had the same problem since this morning. no zezo trigger. it must be updated on the snowflake only and only possibility

The router was called automatically on every refresh in the game UI for a while, but that was actually by mistake!

With the previous VR engine it was always necessary to call the router explicitely from the dashboard. Calling the router automatically on every 5min update puts way to much load on the server.

To clarify the above once more:

The previous game version was sending position updates every 5 minutes. They DID NOT cause routing requests, so you had to click the "snowflake".

In the current version the position updates are initiated by the user. You may not be hitting that refresh button every 5 minutes, but many players do, and creating new routing with every game refresh IS NOT a good idea.

That's why Hardtack disconnected the actions.

You can still get automated routing every time you enter a race. Which also happens with some regularity because the game kicks you out to the lobby after some timeout.

Hi everyone,

Same for me, and I don't have an extensive use of the routing, but the dashboard shows my boat and team name and it doesn't choose a race.

Just before this, Fleet and map did not work, so I ve restart everything and it is worst now, nothing works !

I'm going back to the old time entering coordinate manually :)

What is strange is that under Windows 7 everything works as before and without the need for manipulation. it's fluid like in the other versions
It is under Windows 10 that the call to the server is not clear and works very poorly
Under W7 I can call it at any time. the Dashboard responds immediately and when you click on a race, zezo responds perfectly !! Is it weird this difference between W10 and W7?

there is no picture between the two (en fran�ais : il n'y a pas photo entre les deux): Dash and Zezo work much better under W7

Well, you could start with that. Works in w7, does not work in 10. Quote chrome and extension versions. I still don't understand what exactly works and what does not. Like, race grayed, or have to click snowflake or what?

There are a lot of more things that can be different. Settings, other installed extensions like ad blockers or antivirus software. Cookies.

Do a experiment - start with a clean setup. call Chrome with --user-data-dir=something in both platforms.

Under W7 we don't have to click on the snowflake or on Ok. everything is done automatically and nothing is grayed out

Under W10 it is a real hassle, the engagement is not done by the original classic way.
The story of clicking on the snowflake on W7 does not exist: it is direct and fast

i've restart chrome, dump cache, cookies etc, same thing, fleet and map are blank

I think I have tried everything !! it's still strange this phenomenon !! The call to activate zezo, the Dash which does not display FLEET and MAP. in some ways !!
it wears me out. I like things that spin like a hologe.

But 15min ago you sounded like the only problem was too many router tabs.

If we are to help you, you will need to provide more accurate information, and you'll need to follow the steps we suggest. If you don't understand what we're asking (which is perfectly fine), ask exactly what you don't understand.

Btw, making a film is not such a bad idea. Can you do that?

Ftr, I tried W10, Chrome 86.0.4240.198 and extension 3.12.9 (64 bits) but did not see any issues with the race list, fleet or map tab.

So I went back to a clean Chrome shortcut with the --user-data suffix. it works moderately.
The problem that refreshing Zezo in RT or OK, multiplies the Zezo tabs.
Before the zezo tab was covered by the new one !!
fleet and map are blank

@Jeanbern19 - if the number of router tabs is a problem for you, you're calling
the router much too often!

Activate 'Reuse tabs' in VRDashboard to prevent it from opening additional tabs but please remember - as Cvetan already mentioned -

Don't call it every 5min. Call the router once with your current position, then work with that route. The route may change, but these changes are hardly meaningful.

One further note: The new 'Show track info' option may cause the Dashboard map to render slowly. Keep it deactivated if the fleet tab is displaying a lot of boats.

for the zezo tab, I actually forgot to check Reuse tabs. it is an oversight by force I disturb myself.
Usually no I rarely call zezo

since this morning, since version 3.12.10, the triggering is much better.
So I don't know at all if it's related to this version !!?
But the call to zezo is done slowly but it is done well!
all the columns fill well and are complete.
