Yes, this would be a useful feature. It was quite difficult to read the map and wind details when we were rounding the northern point the night before last.

The current swarm display is embedded in the isochrone image so you can't turn it off client-side the way the blue dots work - by just setting the visibility parameter. The quickest solution is to make the rendering optional and reload the image if it changes. But should it be linked with the blue dots or separate option?

Maybe you could change the colour of the swarm (little black dots) from black into another colour that doesn't interfere with other items on the map. This could be medium grey, yellow, pink, lilac, medium brown or something? Then it would become easier to see "through" them on busy spots.
